On 20th of January 2019, WE AfriHug team welcomed in Greece Dr Esther Kagure Munyiri, Chairman and Lecturer and Dr Rahab Mugambi, Lecturer of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management of Kenyatta University, located in Nairobi in Kenya. The Staff visited Greece in order to attend a Training week at the University of Piraeus. In the framework of the partnership that the project created with the University of Piraeus in Greece, that is the second mobility which took place during 20th – 28th of January 2019.

On Tuesday, 22.01.2019, the University of Piraeus invited Marilena Maragkou & Konstantinos Maragkos to be present during the welcome meeting where  representatives from Libya and Kenya were also presenting their Intstitutions. A strong focus was given for the topic of partnerships, exchange and academic mobility.

The contribution of Erasmus Mundus Association has been significant, since the collaboration among Konstantinos Maragkos, CR for Greece, Lina W. Mkoji, Eastern Africa coordinator, WE AfriHug Team, the Universities and the representatives of the International Relations Office of the two Universities achieved the partnership and as a result the second mobility happened. More mobilities among students, academic staff and Top management of the Universities will happen during the next months.

WE AfriHug team also arranged a meeting for the staff from Kenya at the university of West Attica in order to discuss possible future collaborations and partnerships. They met the Head of the International Office, Dr. Nikas and Dr. Katsoni from the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management.

WE AfriHug team was present in all the meetings and visits of the Academic Staff from Kenya in order to facilitate communication and support them. We are looking forward to receive students from Kenya and Uganda soon.

Il 20 gennaio 2019, il team di WE AfriHug ha dato il benvenuto in Grecia alla dott.ssa Esther Kagure Munyiri, presidente e docente e al dott. Rahab Mugambi, docente del Dipartimento di ospitalità e gestione del turismo dell’ Università Kenyatta, con sede a Nairobi, in Kenya. Il personale ha visitato la Grecia per partecipare a una settimana di formazione presso l’Università del Pireo. Nel quadro della partnership che il progetto ha creato con l’Università del Pireo in Grecia, è la seconda mobilità che si è svolta dal 20 al 28 gennaio 2019.

Martedì, 22.01.2019, l’Università del Pireo ha invitato Marilena Maragkou e Konstantinos Maragkos a presenziare all’incontro di benvenuto, dove rappresentanti della Libia e del Kenya hanno presentato i loro Instituti. Un forte focus è stato dedicato al tema delle partnership, dello scambio e della mobilità accademica.

Il contributo di Erasmus Mundus Association è stato significativo, poiché la collaborazione tra Konstantinos Maragkos, CR per la Grecia, Lina W. Mkoji, coordinatore Africa Orientale, WE AfriHug Team, le Università e i rappresentanti dell’Ufficio Relazioni Internazionali delle due Università hanno raggiunto il partnership e di conseguenza è avvenuta la seconda mobilità. Più mobilità tra studenti, personale accademico e Top management delle università avverrà nei prossimi mesi.

Il team di WE AfriHug ha anche organizzato un incontro per lo staff del Kenya presso l’università di West Attica per discutere possibili collaborazioni e partnership future. Hanno incontrato il capo dell’ufficio internazionale, il dott. Nikas e il dott. Katsoni del dipartimento per il turismo e l’ospitalità.

Il team di WE AfriHug era presente in tutti gli incontri e le visite dello Staff accademico del Kenya per facilitare la comunicazione e supportarli. Non vediamo l’ora di ricevere presto studenti dal Kenya e dall’ Uganda!

Στις 20 Ιανουαρίου 2019, η ομάδα του WE AfriHug υποδέχθηκε στην Ελλάδα την Δρ. Esther Kagure Munyiri, Πρόεδρο και Διδάκτορα και τη Δρ. Rahab Mugambi, Διδάκτορα του Τμήματος Τουρισμού του Πανεπιστημίου Kenyatta University, στο Ναϊρόμπι στην Κένυα. Επισκέφθηκαν την Ελλάδα με σκοπό να παρακολουθήσουν μια εβδομάδα επιμόρφωσης στο Πανεπιστήμιο Πειραιώς. Η δεύτερη κινητικότητα πραγματοποιήθηκε από τις 20 ως τις 28 Ιανουαρίου 2019.  

Την Τρίτη, 22.01.2019, το Πανεπιστήμιο Πειραιώς προσκάλεσε τη Μαριλένα Μαραγκού και τον Κωνσταντίνο Μαραγκό κατά τη διάρκεια της εκδήλωσης υποδοχής με εκπροσώπους από Λιβύη και Κένυα.

Η συμβολή του Erasmus Mundus Association υπήρξε αρκετά σημαντική, καθώς και ο Κωνσταντίνος Μαραγκός, εκπρόσωπος στην Ελλάδα και η Lina W. Mkoji, υπεύθυνη ανατολικής Αφρικής, η ομάδα του WE AfriHug, τα Πανεπιστήμια και οι εκπρόσωποι των γραφείων Διεθνών σχέσεων των δύο Πανεπιστημίων κατάφεραν αυτή τη συνεργασία, το αποτέλεσμα της οποίας ήταν η συγκεκριμένη κινητικότητα. Περισσότερες κινητικότητες θα λάβουν χώρα ανάμεσα σε φοιτητές, ακαδημαϊκό προσωπικό και Ανώτατο διοικητικό προσωπικό τους επόμενους μήνες.

Η ομάδα του WE AfriHug κανόνισε επίσης συνάντηση για το προσωπικό από την Κένυα και το Πανεπιστήμιο Δυτικής Αττικής για να συζητήσουν για πιθανές συνεργασίες. Συνάντησαν τον υπεύθυνο του γραφείου Διεθνών σχέσεων, Δρ. Νίκα και την Δρ. Κατσώνη του Τμήματος Τουριστικών.
