We are very proud to see with our eyes the impact of WE AfriHug’s work. Yesterday, 07.11.2018, it was a historical day for WE AfriHug, since the team received and welcomed James Bulenzibuto, Head of the International Relations Office – Kyambogo University from Uganda. In the framework of the partnership that the project facilitated with the University of Piraeus in Greece, the first mobility is happening for these days and in the framework of the celebration for the 80 years’ anniversary of the University of Piraeus in Greece.
On Tuesday, 07.11.2018, the University of Piraeus invited Marilena Maragkou & Konstantinos Maragkos to present WE AfriHug during a meeting with several HEIs’ representatives from Greece, Uganda, Russia, Armenia, Lebanon, Jordan & Israel. A strong focus was given for the topic of partnerships, exchange and academic mobility.
The contribution of Erasmus Mundus Association has been significant, since the collaboration among Konstantinos Maragkos, CR for Greece, Edwin Kamalha, CR for Uganda and Lina W. Mkoji, Eastern Africa coordinator, WE AfriHug Team, the Universities and the representatives of the International Relations Office of the two Universities achieved the partnership and as a result the first mobility already happened. More mobilities among students, academic staff and Top management of the Universities will happen during the next months.
